c) with only two traffic intersections available to take traffic in and out
d) without consideration of the effect of the Shepherd's Bay and Millenium
Waters developments on
the local traffic and transport which are already inadequate (when analysed on
journey times)
e) where the amount of open space per head will be very small, with all the
usual implications for disenchanted teenagers and crime figures (See figures
above)
f) where the population density will be one of the highest in Sydney, which
is completely at odds with the local community and the heritage of the area.
g) where it is proposed to have 6,8 and 10 storey buildings in a suburb where
the tallest habitable building in known history is 3 storeys.
h) where the rail line is already acknowledged to be operating at capacity
and where owners of land for a proposed duplication have already been notified
there land is not required.
i) where the land for the "missing link" between the F4 and the
City West link was sold off years ago.
k) where the local primary schools and high schools are already operating at
capacity, or will be with the completion of Liberty Grove.
m) where the height of buildings, light of an evening, noise and dust during
remediation and construction and noise from the precinct is likely to interfere
with the migratory species of birds which use the adjacent wetlands. The nesting
of the migratory birds are protected under the JAMBA and CAMBA treaties with other nations. Local
residents call on the federal government to honour its obligations under these
treaties.
n) where there have been questions asked about the lack of display of an
Environmental Impact Study as required by law
o) where there were a number of sinister seeming changes between the
exhibited REP and the Gazetted REP including allowing the Minister of DUAP to
over ride the RTA who expressed concerns about the traffic impact of the
proposed development
p) where the site owners and DUAP continually decline to engage local
residents about contamination and remediation.
